Tina S. won an iPod from a drawing during the blood drive.
On Tuesday, November 15, the Patrick Henry High School Key Club hosted the Johnston Memorial Hospital Blood Bank. Faculty/staff, students, and even passersby donated a total of 43 pints of blood. Every 3 seconds someone in this country needs blood. From premature infants to cancer patients, each life matters and a single donation of blood could save up to 3 lives. The donations made at Patrick Henry on this day will definitely make a difference in our community! All student donors were registered to receive and iPod and Acer laptop computer. This year's iPod winner was senior Tina S. The drawing for the laptop will be held later in the year. Last year's laptop recipient was also from Patrick Henry High School, 2011 graduate Richard T. Faculty and staff were all registered to receive a television, which will also be given away later this year.
