Students gather in a school cafeteria kitchen to watch a worker make bread. Mrs. Gobble, with Abingdon Elementary School cafeteria, demonstrates the art of bread making to pre-kindergarteners

The months of January and February are important months for Abingdon Elementary Preschool students. The children learn about healthy habits to keep them from getting sick during the winter months. They learn that eating healthy foods is a good way to stay healthy! The preschool decided to visit their school cafeteria to see all the healthy foods being prepared for their lunches. Mrs. Stevenson, Mrs. Gobble, Mrs. Weddle, Mrs. Sullins, Mrs.King, and Mrs. Casey showed the children how the food is prepared. Mrs. Stevenson took the children for a tour. Mrs. Gobble made a loaf of bread for snack. The children made butter for the bread by shaking cream until it turned into butter and a yummy snack was enjoyed by all. The preschoolers couldn't wait to tell Mommy and Daddy how they learned to make bread and butter! Thank you Abingdon Elementary School cafeteria ladies!
