Welcome to Washington County Public Schools website! Washington County School Division is well known for its outstanding academic achievements facilitated by a strong emphasis in the arts and technology, its excellent athletic programs, and its outstanding facilities. The Washington County School Board and the Washington County Board of Supervisors work well together to provide our community with a strong, viable school system. We are fortunate to have highly qualified professional staff members who embrace our motto, “Committed to the Success of Every Student”. They, along with parents, citizens, and local businesses work tirelessly toward the division’s goal of “Providing Virginia’s Best Education”.

All of our schools are fully accredited by the Virginia Department of Education and The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Our teachers, principals, support staff, and central office staff take great pride in all operational aspects of the Washington County Schools and strive to promote and maintain highly effective programs for our students. Because of their pride and dedication, our students continually excel in academic and extra-curricular programs.

Washington County students have many learning opportunities available to them through our K-12 Comprehensive Curriculum, On-line Learning, Middle Schools that Work Program, Career and Technical Education Programs, Alternative Education Programs, Advanced Placement and Dual Credit Programs, Title I Schools, and our Pre-K Programs in all of our elementary schools. Our Community Scholars Program through our local community college provides outstanding opportunities for concurrent and post high school studies for our students.
