Sick Leave (GCBDA)

Each contracted employee of the Washington County School Board eligible to receive sick leave benefits will earn one (1) day of sick leave per contract month. A maximum of twelve (12) days per year may be earned. After 150 days are accumulated, an employee may accumulate five (5) additional days per year and receive compensation at the maximum rate of $50.00 per day. When using sick leave days, an employee may be required to present verification of illness by a qualified medical doctor. Sick leave for part-time employees will be prorated according to the percentage of the part-time employees’ status.
