Building Trades Classes Continue to Improve the Quality of Life for County Residents

A truck is transporting the finished building.Every year the Building Trades classes at the Washington County Career and Technical Education Center build a complete home from the ground up for a qualified recipient through Habitat for Humanity. On October 6, Mr. Goff’s Building Trades students watched as their finished product was lifted and transported to a grateful family.

This building project is the central focus of the class throughout the year and the home is intentionally built in two sections so that it can be transported upon completion. The students take great pride in their craftsmanship and the worthy nature of the work that they offer. Washington County Career and Technical Education students have numerous opportunities and help improve the quality of life for so many in our community.
