High Point Elementary First Grade Students Learn Citizenship

Ronald McDonald with Student

High Point Elementary first-grade students joined the student body at an assembly on Friday, September 5, 2014 where Ronald McDonald stole the show. The assembly, which focused on bullying, integrity, fairness, and responsibility, proved to be just what the first graders needed as they had been learning all about citizenship in social studies.

Ronald McDonald provided a great time for the students and staff, and a few teachers even had the opportunity to participate in the program! Mrs. Lisa Walden, Mrs. Dana Mullins, and several HPES students were picked out of the audience to take part in various scenarios that depicted ways students can treat others with kindness and respect. It was for sure a great way to end a great week!
