Two female and one male high school student stand beside a sign they painted depicting winter scenes.Once again, the Holston High School Art Class has has stepped up to help the Town of Damascus with the celebration of a major event. The town is holding its first annual "Trail Town Christmas Festival" in the town park on Saturday, December 6th. Festivities will run from 10 AM to 7 PM and will include Christmas Tree sales, a large bonfire, food and drinks, craft booths. a costume contest, a live manger scene, caroling, and a tree lighting at the end of the night.

The art class was called on to create a sign advertising the event. They responded by producing a sign that showed both the details of the event and the beauty of snow covered hills. Billy H., Sarah H., and Skye W. took the lead on painting the sign. Last year, the town called on the class to create a logo for their centennial celebration. Holston celebrates the good relationship it has with the community and salutes its talented artists and teacher Jennifer Smith for a job well done.
