Holston Carolers Celebrate Christmas

Five students and an adult male teacher stand at the front of a grocery store. There are Christmas decorations behind them.
On Saturday, November 8,2014, five of Holston High School's best singers volunteered to showcase their talent for the community as they sang Christmas Carols at the Damascus Food City.  The shoppers stopped to listen and some even joined in as the HHS students treated the crowd to time-tested favorites such as "Hark, the Herald Angels Sing" and "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer".

Student Evan R. dressed as Santa at the store's request and passed out candy to the children in the store as the carolers sang.  The store also had placed decorations and a Christmas tree in the front foyer to support the event.

The students sang from 2:00 to 4:00 and helped Damascus's largest retail establishment kick off the holiday season.  Students who took part in the event were Laura W., Diane H., Lauren W., Takoda C., and Victoria K.  Student Teacher Nick Dennis led the songs.
