Student in uniform beside Holston High School sign. Most high school juniors enjoy their time off in the Summer with friends. Holston’s Chase T. spent his Summer learning soldiering skills and preparing to defend the nation. Chase joined the Virginia National Guard last school year and reported to Fort Jackson, South Carolina for basic training on May 28th. Chase returned to Washington County on August 7th, just in time for the final weekend before school started. Chase is a member of the Future Farmers of America and plays varsity football as well. He is an accomplished linebacker and a running back. Chase is always happy to volunteer to help with school projects and has an excellent work ethic. On July 2, 2015, Chase will report to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri for his Advance Individual Training (AIT) as a military truck driver. Holston High School salutes Chase for his patriotism and dedication.
