Meadowview Elementary is “Buzzing” With Great Spellers

Ryan W. and Marah W. stand together and display the spelling bee certificates and Ryan W. holds his first place plaque. On December 11th, Meadowview Elementary held the annual school spelling bee. Eighteen students from grades 2-5 participated in the event. The contestants spelled their way through fifteen rounds with words like, cheery, screeched, multiple, and brilliant.

The auditorium was buzzing with excitement when the contest came down to a battle between a brother and sister. Ryan W. took first place when he correctly spelled the word “redeem.” Second place went to Ryan’s sister, Marah W. We are proud of all of the students for winning their classroom spelling bees in order to participate in the school-wide event. Each participant received a certificate for a job well D-O-N-E!
