Rhea Valley Elementary Builds a Reading Snowman

Two third grade students stand beside the Reading Snowman.Do you want to build a snowman?  A reading snowman, that is?  The students of Rhea Valley Elementary have done just that over the course of the past several weeks.

For each Accelerated Reader quiz that was passed with an 80% or higher, students filled out a white snowball to place on the snowman. Once the snowman's body was completed, students who scored a 100% on AR quizzes added elements such as the hat, buttons, eyes, mouth, and carrot nose. The snowman has remained in the library until the first day of spring for all to enjoy.
