Rhea Valley Elementary Donates to Hurricane Relief

Students holding a check and a poster. The students at Rhea Valley Elementary are doing their part to help those affected by the recent hurricanes. The Gifted and Talented Education students at Rhea Valley Elementary coordinated a school-wide campaign to collect donations for the American Red Cross for hurricane relief.

They made posters and hung them in the halls. They wrote announcements to publicize the event over the intercom in the mornings. A total of $272 was collected during their one week campaign. A representative from the Red Cross came and accepted the check from the students. He let them know what an impact their donation would make and how appreciative they were of the efforts of all of our students.
