Rhea Valley Elementary School Celebrates the 50th Day of School

A group of students dressed in 50's attire.Rhea Valley Elementary students stepped back in time to the Rockin' Fifties to celebrate the 50th day of school on October 18, 2017.

Poodle skirts, white t-shirts, bobby socks and rolled-up jeans were all the rage for the day.  Each grade and class completed math activities dealing with the number 50.  Second graders read books that were published during the 1950’s.  Everyone took part in a school-wide parade to show off their hip 50s outfits while hits such as Rock Around the Clock and Tutti Frutti blared over the P.A. system.  It was a cool experience, daddy-o!
