Valley Institute Third Graders Visit Conservation Camp

A group of students gathered together at a picnic table. On Thursday, September 7th, Valley Institute Elementary School third graders attended Conservation Camp at Sugar Hollow Park.  It was a fun outdoor learning experience for all involved.

Students rotated through stations to learn more about conserving and protecting Earth and our natural resources.  Community partners taught the students about littering, water availability and pollution, food webs, recycling, mammals in our region, water features and erosion, products from our forests, and much more.  This was a great field trip to support our school theme of "Going Green"!
