Watauga Elementary School introduced the new OSOB (One School One Book) this year, The Mouse and the Motorcycle. To celebrate the new book, Watauga had community involvement from a local motorcycle club.

Brad and Tracie Farmer, whom are members of the motorcycle club and have a son Jesse in fourth grade at Watauga, spoke about motorcycle safety and the friendships that are formed by riding with others. Mr. Little also spoke to students about everyday bicycle safety.  He also spoke about riding with others and the friendships forged in cycling.  Dr. Arnold, one of our school board members, read chapter one to students and faculty. The assembly ended with a video of unlikely friendships between a dog and an elephant.  Watauga is so excited about their new book!
