Watauga is Utterly Amazing!

Watauga is Utterly Amazing! Each School in Washington County was given a “pull apart” cow to paint and decorate to represent their school at the Washington County Fair, September 8-13th This gave Watauga a chance to display our school and community pride!  We are proud of the historic sites, arts, culture, and outdoor adventures Washington County has to offer.

We painted one side with hills to represent the beautiful scenery surrounding our school, along with the Heartwood and Washington County, Virginia seal. The other side was painted with a map of Washington County inside the shape of Virginia. A bike was painted on the side of the state to represent the Virginia Creeper Trail. The Barter Theatre logo symbolized the moon over the map and state. The final details were pictures of our students and staff at Watauga Elementary. This project was a great way to showcase our school and our county pride! Watauga Elementary is proud of its  Grand Champion Prize Cow!
