Dear Washington County School Employee:

A new school year is always exciting, as there is much promise and potential for a wonderful year. Our Standards of Learning test scores continue to improve. Our graduates are attending outstanding schools, our parents are very supportive of our efforts, and you work with the most dedicated and competent professionals that work in education.

If you are new to the division, be aware that our standards are high for employee performance. You are joining a team that takes pride in the job they do and the success we have had. We welcome you to our quest that the schools of Washington County will provide the World’s best education.

This handbook will help you learn of the many benefits provided by our school board and to learn the procedures and policies that guide our decisions and actions. A complete copy of the policy manual is located in each school and on our website for your reference. Please contact the Human Resource Department should you have questions regarding information contained in the manual.
