Polygon Tool: A
wonderful tool for investigating regular or irregular polygons. Use the
virtual protractor to measure internal and external angles (the line
extension function makes this easy). The polygon vertices can be
dragged and snapped to your choice of background grid.
Formula Pairs: A game to help your pupils remember
the formulas for area and volume.
Coordinate words: A ten minute starter activity to
test how well your pupils are able to plot and read their coordinates.
Angles in a triangle : The angles in a triangle
add up to 180 degrees.
Pythagoras' Theorem 1: Proof of theorem
Pythagoras' Theorem 2: Proof of theorem.
Graph Generator:
This application allows you to create any 4 quadrant graph, grid
or
isometric paper. Can be printed out for classwork or used as a
background when using an interactive whiteboard.
Venn diagrams: A selection of mathematical
activities to introduce your pupils to Venn diagrams
Hundreds, tens and units: An interactive and
highly visual resource to help entrench the concept of units.
Vectors and scalars
An activity to teach pupils to identify scalar and vector quantities.
Pupils are given a physical quantity and its definition which they must
categorise as a scalar or vector.

Distancetime graphs
This was created by the ASE education and is
part of their science year CD. Visit their sycd site for more
resources.
Representing vectors
This gentle introduction to vectors helps your pupils understand what a
vector is and how to represent them. The resource contains a set of
tasks that can be undertaken at the interactive whiteboard.
Angle Estimator: Everything you need to teach
estimation and measurement of angles. Download an exemplar interactive
whiteboard lesson
plan for this resource (this pdf file is 1.2 Mb so be patient
waiting for it to download).
Interactive Number Grids: Flip
between a 0 99, 0 100, multiplication or blank grid. The squares
can be painted in the colour of your choice.
Fraction Wall: A tool to help your pupils
visualise fractions. Ideal for teaching pupils how to identify
equivalent fractions.
Fraction Blocks: A tool
to help your pupils visualise fractions. Ideal for teaching pupils
addition and subtraction of fractions. Also useful for illustrating how
to represent fractions in their simplest form.
Introduction to
enlargements
Part
one of a truly
outstanding suite of three resources commissioned by the NGfLCymru
(and developed by eChalk) to help with the teaching of enlargements.
This resource helps you introduce the basic concepts of enlargement and
scale factors. NOTE: This resource requires the latest Flash
Player.

Cell image bank
Sensational photographic slides of plant and animal cells to boost your
classroom resources.
Plant and animal cells
Compare and contrast plant and animal cells with these interactive
diagrams.
Interactive ear diagram
Same as the diagram above except it is an ear!
Interactive eye diagram
Simply click on individual labels and arrows to toggle them on or off
(in this way the diagram can be simplified to suit any age group).
The carbon cycle
A resource that illustrates how carbon
cycles from one carbon store to another. You can isolate different
processes (e.g. respiration or photosynthesis).
Requires Flash Player 6 or above.
Peppered moth natural selection simulation
Play the part of a predatory bird hunting for moths in the forest.
The heart and circulatory system
This resource includes an animated schematic of the circulatory
system.
