We are waiting for you!!  The Title 1 Parent Resource Center, also known as the Kidz Place, is a full service library with over 25,000 items available for check out and free of charge!  Our services are available for all Washington County residents.

A wagon and a wooden cow are on display.For the second year in succession, the Washington County Career and Technical Education Center (CTE) collected the Grand Champion Prize at the Washington County Fair during the week of September 8-13th. An outstanding collaborative effort between a variety of CTE Center departments and CTE Center students resulted in the success of the final product.

Valley Fourth Grade Visits The Muster Grounds 10-21-2014

A man in uniform is surrounded  by a group of students Valley Institute’s fourth-grade students were recently able to experience a trip to the Muster Grounds in Abingdon. While in attendance students were able to learn about the mustering of the Overmountain Men and their journey to the Battle of King’s Mountain during the Revolutionary War.  

HHS Freshmen Learn Teamwork at River's Way 10-21-2014

Twelve students are standing in a line with ropes and climbing gear.  An adult guide is in front of them giving them instructions.River's Way Outdoor Adventure Park in Bluff City, Tennessee hosted a selected group of Holston High School Freshmen at their facility.  Director Bryan Ulrich led the students on the "high ropes course", which takes students between sixty to seventy feet above the ground. 

Kindergarten Students at Meadowview Elementary are Spreading the "Aloha Spirit". 10-21-2014

They are learning and practicing phrases such as "Aloha" (hello/welcome) and "Mahalo" (thank you).

High Point Students Make Global Connections 10-20-2014

High Point Elementary School Fifth Graders Stand With Teacher.Fifth grade students at High Point Elementary sent letters, once again, to their pen pals in Copey, Costa Rica.  After receiving letters from their friends at the Copey Learning Center, students planned their writing and discussed questions and issues they hope to address as they continue communicating throughout the year.  

Greendale Elementary: It was a Dirty Job, but Somebody Had to Do It! 10-20-2014
