Holston High School FFA Members are State Champions 04-18-2018

 A group of students standing by a teacher.On April 7th, 2018 members of the Holston FFA chapter traveled to Turner Ashby High School to compete in the Virginia State Parliamentary Procedure Leadership Development Event.  Holston competed against 10 other teams and took home top honors and placed 1st in the competition.

Watauga Elementary GATE Students Visit the Korean Children's Choir 04-17-2018

Group of students from W.E.S. and Chior.On April 9th, GATE students from Watauga Elementary School had the opportunity to watch the Korean Children's Choir perform at Virginia Highlands Community College. The performance featured high energy choreography and elaborate costumes that dazzled the audience from start to finish.

Greendale Elementary School Third Grade Social Studies- Museum Exhibit 04-13-2018

Greek mosaic projects by 3rd graders.Students worked in groups to create a museum exhibit for each of the ancient civilizations that were studied during the nine weeks.  Students who created for Greece created Columns, a Parthenon, and Mosaics.

Washington County School Board Meeting 04-11-2018

The Washington County School Board Strategic Planning Meeting scheduled for Monday, April 16, 2018, has been changed to Regular School Board Meeting. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be held at the School Board Office, 812 Thompson Drive, Abingdon, Va.
