Second Graders at WES Present Ancient Egyptian Program 05-04-2017

A group of students performing in a school gym.Watauga Elementary second graders presented a program at the February P.T.A. meeting using the theme "Ancient Egypt". Our music teacher, Mrs. Farnum, collected several entertaining songs for the students to learn with much historical information "wrapped up" in each one. The students enjoyed donning costumes of gold, black, and white or dressing as a pharaoh, queen, farmer, or mummy.

Holston High School FBLA Tours the World’s Fastest Half Mile 05-02-2017

Several students standing at a race track.Holston High School’s Future Business Leaders of America Club visited the Bristol Motor Speedway on Thursday, March 9th.  Students had the opportunity to see what it takes to run a large racing facility. Mr. David Baldwin gave the students an inside tour of the track, finish line, drag way, and even a great panoramic view of the track from the Bristol Club suite.

Wallace Middle School Science Fair 05-01-2017

Two students are pictured with their science fair project.The Wallace Middle School GATE program hosted its annual science fair on Tuesday, January 31. Forty-nine participants from sixth, seventh, and eighth grades displayed 33 projects in the school auditorium. The projects were judged by a team of three judges.

AHS Slim to Win Challenge 04-18-2017

2 groups AHS staff with dog food bags.Abingdon High School had 6 teams (4 people in each group) who participated in the faculty/staff "Slim to Win Challenge." Over a span of 12 weeks participants lost a combined weight of 412.4 lbs.
