"SUPER LEARNING" in Kindergarten at High Point Elementary 09-29-2016

Third Grade in the Valley 09-27-2016

Students are holding up the drink cans.Third graders at Valley Institute Elementary have been working really hard!  Students were given an assignment to create a name for a special new drink.  They were then asked to design their own label for this brand new drink.

Holston Choir Students Make 2016 Highlands Honors Choir 09-22-2016

A group of high school chorus members pose.Auditions were held on Monday, September 12th at John Battle High School for the Highlands Honors Choir.  The honors choir---formerly known as the All-County Chorus---was made up of a select group of singers chosen from the county’s four high schools.  Fifteen HHS students auditioned and twelve made the cut as choir members or alternates.

AES Kindergarten students display their favorite colors.Abingdon Elementary School Kindergarten has been working hard to learn their colors and color words.  All the students and teachers have been wearing clothes with the color of the day with us to help us reinforce the beautiful colors.

MES STUDENT “CROWNED” SHOWMANSHIP CHAMPION 09-19-2016

A girl standing with a lamb.Carrie A. was "crowned" Novice Showmanship Champion this weekend at the Russell County Fair. Showmanship judges the exhibitor's ability to handle and present their animal rather than the quality of the animal. Carrie's class was tough.

HPES Students are Settling into Good Books! 09-14-2016
