The students were initially excited to have a television celebrity in their midst, but once he began speaking with them; they were genuinely engaged and inspired by his enthusiasm and knowledge.

Watauga Elementary Fall Festival 10-26-2015

Parents and students enjoyed inflatable bounce houses, carnival games, silent auctions, bingo, a train ride, and a cake walk. The school was buzzing with excitement throughout the evening. Students bounded from game to game and inflatable to inflatable.

Patrick Henry High School student creates a 3D Frog! 10-26-2015

DMS Agriscience Class Hosts “Best of Show” Dog Show! 10-23-2015

Students were required to choose a breed of dog and research information about this dog. Using this information, students created informational posters about these breeds. The class invited special guest judges, Mr. Keith, Mrs. Rasnake and Dr. Ratliff to be the judges for the event.

PHHS Senior Auditions for the VA Music Educators 2015 Honors Choir 10-22-2015

Holston’s Danielle B. Scores 1,000TH Assist 10-21-2015

A group of high school Volleyball players are standing.Danielle B., a senior at Holston High School, has been a volleyball standout and an anchor for her team.  As a freshman playing junior varsity, Danielle had over 200 assists.  That was a sign of things to come.  Danielle joined the varsity as a sophomore and led the team in assists every year.

WCCTEC K9 Demonstration for Criminal Justice Class 10-20-2015

Two police officers and their K9 demonstrate take-down techniques. On September 10, 2015  Master Deputies Tom Dula and Eric Hinchey from the Washington County Sheriff's Office visited the Criminal Justice class at the WCCTEC to demonstrate the abilities of their K9's in service.

AES 5th Graders Join In On Cross-Country Adventure 10-20-2015

Students video-chat with hiker.On Friday, September 12, 2015, the Abingdon Elementary 5th graders got to “join in” on an amazing cross country journey.  The 5th graders had the privilege of doing a FaceTime interview and chat with Ryan Ray.  Ryan Ray was on a 3,010 mile cross country walking journey from Los Angeles, California to New York City.
