Abingdon Elementary School
Thu, March 1, 2018
Kindergarten Students at Abingdon Elementary teamed up for a morning of bowling in the classroom to learn about subtraction. Each student got to take a turn knocking down their pins and then write a subtraction sentence according to their bowl.
They referred to the pins that they knocked down and the ones remaining to formulate and solve their problems. They were thrilled when they got a strike and some even got a "six pack" getting 6 strikes in a row. All the students showed great sportsmanship cheering for their friends as they were bowling and as they were writing their results. Austin N. said "I love to play math games. We have so much fun!"
