AES Fourth and Fifth Graders Score Touchdowns Over Multiplication
Mon, November 24, 2014
Fourth and fifth graders at AES were challenged by their teachers (coaches) to master all multiplication facts from 0-12 along with passing a mixed review within the first nine weeks of school. Students that met the challenge earned a ticket to attend an all-day tailgate party.
For the first time 100% of all fifth graders met the challenge and more fourth graders attended than any previous year. The students enjoyed flag football, relay games, and traditional tailgate goodies. The classes with the most touchdowns dumped Gatorade on their coaches, Mrs. Ragan and Mrs. Moore, to celebrate their victory over multiplication. AES proved that multiplication can be fun and wet!
