AES Kindergarteners Learn About Community Helpers
Mon, October 24, 2016
Abingdon Elementary School Kindergarteners have been learning about community helpers. We’ve talked about jobs and the tools each job requires. We thought about what we want to be when we grow up and talked with our families and classmates about our choice.
The kindergarteners had some special visitors over the past few weeks to help us learn about different jobs too! We were visited by Dr. Litton who showed us some cool tools a doctor uses to help her patients. We also toured our own cafeteria and watched some bread rising and even tasted some bread. Next, two Abingdon Police Officers came and showed us their cool tools and we even got to sit in their police car and turn on the lights. Finally, the Abingdon Fire Department brought their fire trucks. They talked to us, showed us two fire trucks, and let us get in the fire trucks as well. We love community helpers!
