ASVAB Test to Be Offered at Career and Technical Center
Tue, January 24, 2017
For the 15th consecutive year, the Washington County Career and Technical Center will sponsor a test session for the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Test (ASVAB). The test will be given on Friday, February 3rd from 12:30 to 3:15 PM. The ASVAB is offered to all county sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have a potential interest in serving in the United States military. All branches of the military and their reserve components mandate that individuals take the ASVAB before they enlist.
Taking the ASVAB does not bind students to joining the armed forces. It serves as a placement indicator that helps each person decide which job is more appropriate for their interest and skill level. Students may drive or ride the CTE bus on the day of the test. Students who ride the bus must arrange transportation home afterward as the test lasts until 3:15. Permission slips are available at each high school. For more information, please contact Jackson Barker at (276) 739-4009 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org .
