Greendale Elementary School Third Grade Social Studies- Museum Exhibit
Fri, April 13, 2018
Students worked in groups to create a museum exhibit for each of the ancient civilizations that were studied during the nine weeks. Students who created for Greece created Columns, a Parthenon, and Mosaics.
Those who created for Rome built aqueducts. Lastly, those who created for Mali created a camel caravan on which the students wrote facts about the ancient civilization. Along with their artifacts, they had to complete a world map with labels of continents and oceans, prime meridian, and the equator. The students also had to highlight the original location of each of the ancient civilizations. For the writing component, each group had to write a paragraph describing how their artifact was important to the civilization in which it was created.
