High Point Elementary First Graders Visit Fender's Farm
Tue, November 18, 2014
The first grade students of High Point Elementary took a festive field trip to Fender's Farm on Monday, October 27. The students have been observing seasonal changes and discussing many ways to investigate nature. The students were able to not only participate in the corn maze, but they were able to gather, collect, and select their own "harvest".
While at the farm, students learned about irrigation and how plants grow. All of the students were able to gather gourds, pumpkins, and corn straight from the field. The students also had the opportunity to participate in pig races, a hayride, and feeding various farm animals. High Point first grade students are very thankful to Fender's Farm and enjoyed a great day of learning!
