High Point Elementary School Third Grade Students Study Ancient Greece
Post date:
Fri, December 12, 2014
High Point Elementary School third graders recently traveled to Ancient Greece. On their voyage, students in Mrs. Widner's and Mr. Davidson's social studies classes were directed to tour the area and learn as much as they could about the Grecian culture. The Acropolis was one of the vacation hotspots due to the Parthenon being located there.
The travelers shopped for necessary supplies at the Agora (marketplace) and made stops at various other places throughout their travels. Upon returning home, the students enjoyed sharing what they had learned with their classmates. The students used *The Traveler's Guide to Ancient Greece* by Fiona MacDonald and Mike Foster to guide them on their journey.
