Holston Cross Country Team Enjoys Continued Success

Holston High School’s Cross Country team, under the direction of Coach Sammy Campbell, enjoyed another successful year. At the conference meet on October 26th at Sugar Hollow Park in Bristol, nine runners finished well enough to qualify move on to the regional event at Eastside High School in Coeburn.
In addition to the overall team achievement, several members had outstanding finishes as individual runners. Tanner S. finished 3rd in the varsity boy’s event, while Miles H. placed 7th. Among female varsity competitors,
Bailey L. finished 6th, while Hayden L. finished 7th. Layton H., Billy H., Jordan O., Noah T., and Michael J. rounded out those who were moving on to regionals. 2016 marks the fourth consecutive year that Coach Campbell and his team have sent five or more runners to the regional finals. Holston’s faculty and staff congratulate this winning group of athletes on their accomplishment.
