Holston High School's FBLA Shows its Strength at Skill Competition
Tue, April 10, 2018
The Holston Chapter of the FBLA is having an outstanding year. . Led by sponsors Sammy Campbell and Lisa Rose, the club has exposed members to new opportunities and challenges.
The organization meets monthly and conducts a brief business meeting. Once that is completed, a local guest speaker who is making a difference in the community gives a motivational talk to students.
HHS’s chapter has also opted to re-enter the regional and state-wide skill competitions. The school’s chapter is a part of the New River District, which includes all localities from Bristol to Radford. Holston sent 25 competitors to the district event, and 16 of those qualified to move on to the state match. In order to compete at the state level, students had tohave a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place finish in their respective contests. This is a commendable accomplishment for a first year effort.
