Hoops for Hearts at Greendale Elementary

A young girl wearing a bright orange t-shirt is holding her prizes of a black basketball and duck key rings from the fundraiser.Students from Greendale Elementary School were thrilled to support the American Heart Association by raising money through Hoops for Heart. The Hoops for Heart program is a fun event where students can shoot hoops, learn about how their heart works, and teach friends and family how to stay FIT FOR LIFE.

Students were given several weeks to gather donations from friends and family. By the end of the event, seventy students in second through fifth grades worked hard and collected $1,319.70 to help fund research efforts, heart education and programs that will help others live healthier lives. Congratulations to third grader Kori A. who raised the most money.
