Kindergarten Students at Greendale Elementary Experience the First Thanksgiving!

The six students, three boys and three girls, posing for the picture are dressed in pilgrim style clothing.Pilgrims and Native Americans were spotted having the first Thanksgiving at Greendale Elementary! The kindergarten students have been learning all about the first Thanksgiving and they were able to experience it for themselves before the holiday arrived. 

The students discussed what was eaten at the famous meal and how the Pilgrims and Native Americans came together for the feast. Many facts and important people have been brought to their attention, including: Pocahontas, Powhatan, and Captain John Smith. In addition to learning many facts and learning about important people, an abundance of kindergarten students from all three classrooms dressed in creative costumes during the week of Thanksgiving representing pilgrims and Native Americans. They all had a fabulous time!
