Meadowview Elementary First Graders are Saving Turkeys
Post date:
Thu, January 29, 2015
Meadowview first grade students from Mrs. Cole’s class were given the task of disguising their Thanksgiving turkey to save his/her life. The students took the challenge and turned turkeys into Christmas trees, basketball pigs, hunters dressed in camo, a peacock and even Santa. Many creative materials were used.
Everyone shared their creations and wrote a paragraph to tell about making their turkey. Students presented their writing with the class and we learned how ideas were created .This was a project shared with family, by our first grade. We enjoy working with our parents on fun projects. We think we saved 19 turkeys!
