Patrick Henry High School Gives Back During Homecoming Week
Post date:
Thu, February 16, 2017
On Thursday, February 9th, Patrick Henry crowned the 2017 Winter Homecoming Queen and King. Sydney C. and Jarrett A. led the way fundraising $2,320.46 and $600 respectively. Students adopted the homecoming theme “PHHS Gives Back” and “#REBELSTRONG” focusing fundraising efforts on need-based charities and organizations within our community.
Students were given from November to January to complete all fundraisers. Our guest of honor was Suzanne Boothe, a math teacher here at Patrick Henry. We also would like to congratulate all of the homecoming nominees for raising over $5,500.00! These students participated in an array of fundraising activities to contribute to charities such as: Washington County Relay for Life, Ecumenical Faith in Action, Susan G. Komen, St. Jude's Children's Hospital and the Cancer Institute of America. The 2017 PHHS Winter Homecoming Court was comprised of 4 female seniors and 4 male seniors: Hannah C., Madison B., Lacy R., Sydney C., Thomas S., Zane S., Alex D. and Jarrett A.
