The fair was held at the Washington County Career and Technical Education Center, and TSA students from E.B. Stanley Middle School, Abingdon High School, and Virginia High School competed in almost 30 different competitive events.

The day was centered around aspects of STEM (such as System Control Technology and Video Game Design competitions), public speaking (such as Prepared Speech and Debating Technological Issues competitions), and leadership. Tyler S. is the outgoing 2015-16 regional president, and Evan S. was elected as the incoming 2016-17 regional president. A HALO tournament, raffle, and board game room were all available to students to benefit Relay For Life, and approximately $130 was raised to benefit this cause. Southwestern Virginia TSA will come together again in May for the State Technosphere competition in Richmond, VA.
