Wallace Middle School | Patriot’s Pen Essay Winners

A group of students are holding their winning certificates.Eleven Wallace Middle School students were recently recognized for their outstanding essays in the Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest.

Patriot’s Pen is a contest sponsored by the VFW and is conducted nationwide.  This competition gives students an opportunity to write essays expressing their views on annual patriotic themes.  This year’s essay theme was, “Why I Honor the American Flag.”  The winning students were: Sixth Grade- Charlie C., Kali O., and Gracie L.; Seventh Grade- Isabella K., Blaiklee S., and Leanna M.; Eighth Grade- Caitlyn H., Jazlyn G., Hannah N., Tessie S., and Andrew P.  Congratulations to all of these students for their excellent work!
