WCCTEC Students Earn Top Honors at District Competition

2 male and 2 female teenagers posing together.On February 4th, students from the WCCTEC Criminal Justice Program participated in the 2015 Skills USA District 8 Crime Scene Investigation and Criminal Justice competitions. The Crime Scene team consisting of Madison B., Michael P., and Bayleigh D. won first place. Students were judged on conducting a thorough investigation of a mock homicide scene, specifically in the areas of: evidence identification and documentation; evidence collection; crime scene measurement and reconstruction.

In the WCCTEC Criminal Justice individual competition, Ben P., Andrew J., and Austin C placed first through third, respectively. This particular contest consisted of handling of a domestic violence call, traffic stop, and job interview. 

Washington County Schools are very proud of Mr. Cross and his Criminal Justice students for their hard work and attention to detail.
