On Wednesday, September 4, Glade Spring Middle School hosted "Meet the Rebels--Middle School Edition". Members of the golf, cross country, cheer, volleyball, and football teams were introduced to the fans. This event was sponsored by Ms. Frost of Communities in Schools.

The GSMS volleyball team says thank you to the WCPS transportation department for the opportunity to ride in a brand new bus on their way to play at Virginia Middle.
Dunk Your Superintendent! If you don’t like the idea of a new cell phone policy or think school starts too early in August, now is your chance to take out your start of school frustrations, and dunk Dr. Perrigan! He’ll be in the dunk tank at Dairy Queen in Abingdon (Exit 19 location) on Saturday, with the fun beginning at 4:00 p.m. Proceeds raised from the event go towards St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. WCPS students and staff have loved participating in fundraisers for St. Jude and are thrilled to be able to give back.

Meet the REBELS!
GSMS students are being meticulous about their vocabulary study! Each day, students are given a new word on the day. On Friday, August 16, students had their first review activity for those words. Three students from each grade level won a free ice cream. New words will be given next week and students will have new opportunity to use their pertinet knowledge!
