Each Year Washington County Public Library provides a phenomenal Summer Reading Program for the students of Washington County Virginia and the Public Schools. We are happy to partner with them and we hope that you will take advantage of these opportunities throughout the summer.
The program is available at locations in Abingdon, Damascus, Glade Spring, Hayter's Gap and Mendota. The hours and times vary by location. Students can participate in a variety of ways including Tracking their Reading, Completing a Scavenger Hunt, Enjoying Events, and Going on a Library Adventure.
The Kickoff for the event will begin on June 1st and activities run throughout the summer. Events include Magic Shows, Bubblepalooza, Book Bark, Library Olympics, and S'more Stories. There are also exciting events tailored just to Teens.
