Remote Learning Information and Help

July 21, 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Washington County Public Schools will be using Google Classroom and/or Schoology as part of our learning management systems for student learning. Both programs enable our students, parents, and teachers to engage with learning materials and their school community from the classroom and remotely.

With Google Classroom and Schoology, students can digitally submit assignments, review grades, participate in interactive discussions with teachers and each other, receive announcements and feedback, take tests, write academic blogs, and more.

We value your participation in your child’s education and encourage you to engage in and monitor your child’s progress. Your participation is essential in helping guide your child’s learning as we transition to a new form of teaching/learning. Student progress and activity will also be monitored by faculty to ensure a safe, secure, and controlled environment.

Located on the school and division website, you will find information with instructions on how to create, log into, and use Google Classroom and Schoology. Your child’s teacher may use only Google Classroom, or may use Schoology which can include Google Classroom and other education applications.

If you have questions regarding either of these programs, please contact your child’s school.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jeff Noe
Assistant Superintendent
